"What an amazing find! I cannot believe I’ve walked and driven by this a hundred times and missed it. I’ve heard the rumors and the stories of how legendary this place was and how they make you feel at home…. Look at those mugs? Those are all the regulars! One room for families and the other for 18+ in case of swearing!?! I’ve never felt so immediately at home the minute I walked in and my goodness look at this spread? I have no idea how they are making any money with these prices. All I know is I could have cried when my poached egg came back a perfect medium!!! His omelette was huge, and a choice of toast or fresh made daily biscuits and gravy? $1 to add “taters” to your breakfast meal? And if you love orange juice? Order the large!! Thank you so much Elizabeth for an amazing first visit, first of many!! Oh and that black and white? That was him hangry. By the time we got home he was in a food coma!!! Thank you again! What a local treasure!!"

"We had breakfast this morning it was delish! Huge omelets, fried potatoes with onions and bacon in them and gravy and biscuits! I also left my purse behind and when I realized I went back and it was under the station when you pay untouched! I highly recommend them for breakfast! Huge proportions and delish coffee and service was excellent as well!"

"I had the breaded fish sandwich on special today. The fish was excellent, and the tater sauce was ok. I ate the fries without ketchup, and they were good, but the coleslaw was was much too creamy/juicy and heavy tasting. If I hadn 't gotten the salad bar, I don 't think I would have been satisfied. The salad bar was nice and fresh, but calling it legendary seemed a stretch. I appreciated the herring fillets (never seen this on a salad bar before) and the big block of cheddar, but the only other proteins were diced ham, diced hard boiled eggs, and cottage cheese. There was something that might have been bacon, but I wasn 't sure so I passed over it. For the price, I 'd like more maybe some chick peas or other legumes, and some other lettuce varieties at least. Also, I usually skip dressings in favor of oil and vinegar, but I didn 't see them. There were a few other things worth mentioning. After taking our order, our server said she 'd be right back with some warm bread. Maybe she misspoke, but no bread or explanation ever came. At one point, she said she 'd be right back with our sandwiches. A few minutes later I made another trip to the salad bar, returned, finished the entire plate, and still had to wait another 5 10 minutes before our sandwiches came out. Then, one of the sandwiches was given to the wrong person and he almost started eating before the error was caught, and one burger was completely the wrong one. My sandwich was really good, and I 'd consider coming back to try a steak or prime rib, but I can 't give a great rating based on this visit."
