"I chose Machan for my birthday dinner last night, a family member had told me it was s newly opened restaurant but upon arriving we realised it had been around for 15+ years. They’ve certainly perfected the chicken tikka over that time as it was delicious. <br/ <br/ Unfortunately a 12 suburb wide power outage hit before we were even able to order but luckily they were still able to cook on gas and did a pretty stellar job in the pitch black darkness. We ate an unplanned candlelight dinner with the help of the iPhone flashlight which was a rather novel experience. The butter chicken paired with garlic naan was quite the treat. The chicken was super soft and the sauce nice and creamy. <br/ <br/ We also had fish Amritsari, chicken korma, sheesh kebab, malai kofta and samosas. Everyone was overall quite impressed with the food, despite the difficult cooking conditions it didn’t show on the plate. Would be interested to see the place in the daylight next time!"

"Loooove this place. Decor is so atmospheric and staff delightful. I know !!!! Sounds like we're boring , but , we go here every fortnight. The yummiest Indian around. Not at all expensive. Complimentary glass of red, white wine or soft drink is great bonus also. This is the gem of the north east !!!"

"Went back to Bhoj and we have been there 5 or 6 times before.Our order came quickly and was very nice. We felt the chicken was dry, maybe because the pieces were so large but again the sauces etc..were really nice.I just looked around the restaurant and felt that it was getting dated and looked tired. When you spill marks down the side of a cabinet that had been there a while maybe its time for a refresh."

"Thursday night dinner with family.Place had a couple of tables full.Service was slow as there was only one person to hand out food and drinks.Restaurant needs a desperate update so tired and uninspired. Most uncomfortable chairs, very low low lighting. Toilets were dusty and old. Quite cold sitting near the window.Food was a disappointment.Kormas were just like a casserole dish, too much lemon juice not balanced at all. Roti breads were dry.The nicest thing on the menu was the basmati rice and lemon lime bitters.Would I go again? NoWould I recommend? No way.I have been spoilt with curries from overseas. This is not a curry house!"

"Delicious traditional north indian gujurati style eating. they did not show gf on their menu, but the cook said that most curries are gf. the corma and lentil dhal is my favorite. a lot of vegie options too."

"I take my Bride about every 5 weeks to get her hair done at Sarah's. Her Salon is opposite Boots n Barley. Well OK my Bride can drive herself, but I would miss out on being spoilt by the lovely ladies. I even get to write a stanza or three of poetry. Creativity comes easy in this special little place. Montmorency sure knows how to do atmosphere."
