"1pm we got there. There were 10 people lining up before us. Looks like they were waiting for the tables. Like normal we just stood behind the line.1.45pm 10 people came before us and 10 people came after us all were called and got their tables. We just thought we were like the only idiots. No one said any word to us. We guessed we might need a reservation? So we made a 2pm reservation right at 1.45.2.40pm after another 10 people came after us entered this restaurant. We argued with the reception guy. He told us we are the last table on the reservation list. No one told us we need a reservation to line up here, no one even talked to us. We were in the middle of the line first 1 hour, then front of line last 1 hour. But the tables just never ours.Finally we got our table. Meat was not bad. But portions were just not big every round you ordered and only 3 rounds order for a table. For us, the portion was just okay. But the next table talked to us, said they are not even full, and they want to order more but no more orders. It’s kind of ridiculous. You are not full when you walk out from an all-you-can-eat restaurant.I didn’t mean anything to any staff there but the management. Please don’t forget to make a appointment before you go."

"Smokehouse moved from being on the edge of a popular spot on 124 street to being tucked away in a residential area with not many access roads from the main traffic routes. The look of a southern BBQ joint is gone (no red white checkered plastic table cloths). They have 4 craft beers on tap. The prices are typically higher end similar to other BBQ places. The place was packed when I was there on 124st but the two of us were the only customers on an early Friday afternoon. Better than 3/5 which leaves a score of 4/5. The cornbread was very good and came in a pan with something they called cowboy butter."

"Hidden in a strip mall in a residential area, you would not expect this place to be here. The decor is pretty horrible, but we had a party upstairs in the karoke room complete with disco ball and coloured light ball . its kind of a fun, tacky place!"

"Food was amazing, so tender and tasty! Service was a bit slow, took and hour to get our food, waitress checked on us a number of times, owner came out and chatted. We were made to feel very appreciated and valued. Would definitely be a restaurant I would revisit again and again. Portions were generous, we definitely ate our fill and even took extra home with us. Everything was delicious and the smoked ice cream was exceptional a real must have!!!"
