"We use this restaurant regularly for Friday tee. few problems....until tonight. by just eat and the order never arrived. it was a nightmare. order directly with the restaurant. we will never eat just again. sad that the restaurant also suffers. Just... it has my money that the driver has a free dinner."

"Visited The Village Fish and Chips for the first time last night during the eastbourne bonfire procession. Ordered a large cod and chips which came to about £6.20 I think. Totally worth it. The fish was lovely and fresh, tasty and moist, not over cooked. The batter was tasty and crisp!! The chips were really good too. Good portions too!!! I recommend this place. YUM!!!"

"As a COELIAC, I'm always a bit nervous of eating out but eating out at a fish chip amongst other options) bar was facing a real challenge! Would I walk out feeling happy or sick? Absolutely NO GLUTEN FREE PROBLEMS here!! I ordered...the Gluten Free Cod Chips and explained it had to be GLUTEN FREE. of course ,no problem said the waitress. Sounded hopeful! I double checked when my food arrived, scary as it looked liked everyone else' cod chips.I can't tell you how good that food tasted,like I've not eaten in years! As usual, I then worried about if I'd be ok. I was then able to speak to the owner /chef who explained he had a DEDICATED area&fryer just for Gluten Free. I was safe! Really,if you're a gluten free person,you must go eat at Trident . The staff are delightful,the food is so delcious and you have OPTIONS and you'll feel totally CONFIDENT. You'll also be able to order your meal without feeling the odd one out! The ambience of the Diner is great too,modern but traditional.Oh &my normal' friends loved it too!Couldn't rate it higher!"
