"The Laksa is totally delicious and addicitve. It was perfect on a cold, wet winter day. I finished my bowl and had a second if I didn't have to save space for dessert. They have this great, sticky, forbidden black rice and a pandanic ice desert. You have to get both because they connect perfectly."

"Out of my extensive pool of friends, I only have one who is Malaysian. We decided to hit up Layang Layang (which is five minutes away from my house, but oddly I have never been there) after they offered the $10 for $25 Groupon. For an crazy big mob who decided to redeem their Groupon on the last day, the Layang Layang staff handled the situation very well. Food: I’ve never had Malaysian food before, so I didn’t know what to expect. If I could try to describe it accurately, I would say it is a hybrid of Thai (pad-thais) and Chinese food. The pad thai isn’t something you would expect out of a thai restaraunt, but more like a re-hashed version of Chinese (more ground sesame, less grease). I would also recommend the Princess Tofu, something everybody should try. The Roti Canai is also a very delectable appetizer – I like to save the sauce from it to pour on my entree dishes. A dish I would NOT recommend though is the Pearl Mee; I personally thought it was gross, and 3 of my friends agreed versus one who really kiled it. Service: The service was decent, nothing too fancy but bad enough to be brought to my attention. Final thoughts: I suppose Malaysian food is good (don’t get me wrong, I didn’t find any faults about this place), but it didn’t instill that ‘craving’ feeling even after 2 months of eating it. It’s a good place to try, but no lasting impressions. Worth a try at least once if you’re in the area."

"Wow, this place is huge, and there are monstrous statues of white merlions out front and right after you enter the restaurant."
