"We went here for a late supper. Prices had risen considerably since our last visit. On our previous visits, we received good food and service, and decent value too. Not this time. This visit we waited minutes in line to order and waited minutes to receive our food. The fish batter was hard and overdone, the fries were lukewarm and the soda was warm. And all at inflated prices. Poor value and a waste of our hard earned money. Apparently, several workers had quit because the owner refused to pay them more. The restaurant was too busy for the owner to handle with only worker. Rather than serve poor food, the restaurant should have closed until they could find replacement workers willing to work for what the owner was willing to pay. At this point, we don't know if we will take a chance and try them again."

"Worst service of my life. We arrived at 10am for the Sunday lunch buffet which, as shown on their website and as they confirmed on the phone when we called, ends at 11:30. From the beginning of the service, the employees were impolite and condescending to us. When we arrived at the buffet, there was no more bacon or eggs wrapped in bacon, so we asked the waitress if they could bring some. About 20 minutes later, they brought some bacon, but it ran out very quickly, so there was no more when I went to the buffet. So I let the waitress know and asked if she could bring more, which she did. After 45 minutes, they still had not served the eggs wrapped in bacon, so I went to the manager to tell her about my insatisfaction and ask if she could bring it. She became angry, told me that there was no more food, that we had eaten everything and that they did not want to serve us anymore and said to me dryly to go sit down. It was 10:50. I replied that we were paying for a buffet which was supposed to continue for another 40 minutes and we were still hungry. She became even more angry and she accused me of having asked for bacon again when I had (according to her already had some (which in itself would have been totally correct considering that it is a BUFFET !! I was and still am shocked at the bad treatment we received. She then told my friend (who had informed her upon our arrival that one of the toilets was clogged that he was arrogant and that he could only have flushed the toilet himself !! Unbelievable. She then kicked us out, shouting at us, leaving us with no opportunity to discuss the situation normally like adults. LACK OF TOTAL PROFESSIONALISM. We obviously did not pay our bill after being attacked this way. I have worked in the service all my life and I have never seen clients being treated this way. During my 15 years of experience, I learned to apply some basic ethical rules such as: 1. Be respectful to customers. 2. Meet the customers' request. 3. Respect the opening hours. The employees of Gin's restaurant have no work ethic. We even met customers in the parking lot who witnessed the bad treatment we received and they were wordless too. In short, this experience has definitely been one of the worst of my life."

"Food was ok, my eggs were kind of rubbery and hubby's food was tepid. Other than that, was your basics. There is no contact tracing list however and they automatically bring you peanut butter and a jam of their choice. I am not sure of their behind the scenes practice but this seems wasteful and unsanitary. They also bring you a dish full of cream and sugar for coffee and we take our coffee black. I just suggest they ask about these things to keep people safe. Our waitress was delightful and served us well."

"Some of the most authentic and yummy burgers in town, great fries too! They ask how you want your burger done, plus no weird wannabe American sauces, just the real thing! The owner custom-made a drink for us that we inquired about, and we were rewarded for a slight error. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere, be sure to reserve a table, especially on the weekends (well, at least not during Corona . I've heard the cheesecake is delicious too, but I've been too stuffed to try it :"

"Its a half hour north of the US / Canadian Border, Even the Border guards are aware that people will travel there just for lunch. ( I have ). Great pub , on cold days there is a fire in the stove, Good Pub menu, decent beer selection."
