"I love your location.i have,on several occasions questioned your position on short pouring. Your attitude seems to be ,if you don't like it...too bad. We have been regular patrons every Saturday for months but are growing tired of the I don't care attitude. You need to realize that you are not the only pub I the valley. The last several Saturdays have seen a reduction in customers. Maybe time for you to listen to your customers."

"I stopped by after a walk around downtown Comox. The open air vibe (September), was really nice on this warm day. The food looked and smelled great, granted I just had a few beers and no food. They have good background music and a friendly attentive staff. There is outdoor and indoor seating, but no views of the bay.I recommend a stop here."

"Food is more expensive these days but Avenue Bistro could do better with their fish and chips offering. 1 piece of halibut and fries was 26 and a side of coleslaw was an extra 2. The fish was OK but a bit dry. The batter was light but not exceptional(it was take out but we ate within 10 minutes). All in all, the box was pretty disappointing on opening: especially if one ishungry, which I was. The piece of fish was small and the offering of fries was dismal and so much so that I thought it was amistake but all 3 orders fell to the same meagre level. OK, halibut is pricey but fries aren 't. The most lame element was the side of coleslaw it was served in a tiny plastic cup the same size as the tartar sauce about 1 2 tablespoons (not anexaggeration it was about 1 mouthful). Cabbage is cheap so perhaps they could loosen up a little on the portion size. Inoverview, pretty disappointing as I 'd heard many say it was a great place to eat in Comox. Maybe they 're catering to the retireecrowd that want a smaller meal but for the price, these must be well to do retirees. I won 't be heading back value for wasdismal. Food quality was OK but far from exceptional."

"Our family absolutely loves Big Foot donuts. They have the best donuts ever! We especially love the chocolate crullers. Our 10 year old son declares it the best donut place on Vancouver Island and our 7 year old says we could never taste something better than Big Foot donuts, it is the best donut place ever and I am also going to go there when I am an adult! This is a great locally owned business. A must visit for anyone- local or visitor!"

"One of the most embarrassing places to eat. I took my mother out for breakfast at this small cafe we use to go to, the beach wood, we still decided to go even with the negativity around the name after the old owners left. We ordered the basic breakfast and didn’t even get our food, it took 45 minutes of us(2 people) waiting patiently. I eventually went to the foodpass and saw the staff (3) standing around talking and then when confronted about the lack of service and food, they quickly apologized. I told them we are leaving due to the extraordinary long wait, and they said “you can’t do that”. I responded yes I can we haven’t even got our food (the time was now approaching a 50 minute wait). Amazing service if you enjoy waiting while watching countless skip the dishes and DoorDash workers receive the orders first, to keep their schedule on track, while ignoring the dining customers. Will not ever come back. We went to white spot across the street and were seated quickly and received our food in less then 10 minutes , when we brought up our experience about the beach wood, the employee said that we a one of many who say the beach wood is a terrible place to eat, they hear it all the time! Thankyou white spot, no thanks beachwood cafe!"
