"Step into the Time Machine, destination 1962. Dark atmosphere, a single table candle, smoke filled room, and Nat King Cole crooning as you enjoy your New York cut steak. No burgers here. Excellent sea food is also available. I've read some of the other reviews and let me add a little more. La Cave is not a restaurant where there are over 100 items on the menu. It is a restaurant where there are a few items prepared with excellence. No burgers, no chicken, no children's menu. Select cuts of beef and fish are what's waiting for you, and you select what you eat, not pictures in a menu. Be patient, if you were expecting fast food you came to the wrong place. The quality food you selected will not be rushed. I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience, I invite you to enjoy it as well, by not rushing and not expecting a McDonald's menu here."

"First time being there…service is Outstanding! Service is Awesome- they checked up on our table about 4-5 times. We ordered our steaks with vegetables etc and appetizers. Everything was cooked as requested and to perfection. Place wasn’t as busy and there’s plenty of seating. When we got to the restaurant we entered through the side door and entrance is at the front. We were seated immediately without a wait. There’s also plenty of parking. Can’t complain about the prices our visit was a great experience and food was delicious we paid l around $150 for 3 people but totally worth it. Will come back soon!"

"The first time I had Carpaccio was 1993 and since then I was dressed. The problem is that there are not many restaurants that use this delicate raw beef. One of my best carpaccio experiences was at Flemings in Newport a few years ago and I never forgot. Now for my birthday weekend I decide to revisit Flemings and try some of their other appetizers. We ordered two plates and it was delicious. My only torment was that instead of Plan Toast points it was cheese on toast that filled me faster and compete with the delicate aromas of beef. Then we moved into the caprese salad without it not listed as "caprese", but that it is what it is The sweetness of the balsamika was a perfect counterweight to the fresh acidity of cherry tomatoes. Genuine buffalo milk Mozzarella was soft and beautiful canvas. The sea red ahi with Japanese mustard sauce was our last cold appetizer of the evening and then we moved to the hot evil Cajun shrimps and the onion rings with the Jalapeno aioli sauce. I have to say that I enjoyed the ahi better, then the shrimps that were over healed, I'm sure you're asking why I didn't mention what they are famous for and that's their steaks. To be honest, I'm not a Steak-Gal and when I ordered a few years back from there, the price didn't match the quality. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious, but my husband weekend cook, like delicious steaks... for a third of the price"

"I looked at the Open Table list of restaurants for a place for our small (6 people) group to dine and found Skosh Monahan 's, an Irish pub with a 4.2 rating. I checked out the menu and it looked like a great place for us. All of the reviews I read mentioned the great food, especially the steaks. The six of us all had different dishes, ranging from salads to a rib eye (I had the rib eye). Not a single one of us enjoyed our meal. Two sent their meals back, my steak was tough and the sauce was bland. One person ordered a full rack of ribs, planning to bring half of it home. She ate three ribs and left the rest. The waitress (who was very good) apologized for the new chef, but no accommodation was offered. Can 't recommend this place."
