"Do you want REAL Italian food? Look no further, Mona Lisa has it all. Their marinara sauce is made on site and you can taste the difference. The flavors are outstanding, I had no idea regular sauce could taste so good. I tried the eggplant parmigana and it was also outstanding. The eggplant wasn't greasy at all, like other places that deep fry it or dredge it in too much oil."

"Came for New Year's Prefix party. table places and environment were great, especially with the live band. but we sat almost an hour before the first meal at our table, not even brot. the table was not set right and we had to arrive after cutlery and serviette bed linen after eating. the main course arrived before the appetizers and then everything was there at once, which made food too cold. zero flexibility when adapting the menu options. the personal was very friendly, but the overall service experience level was terrible. with a final bill for two people over $320 (only ordering 2 glasses cheap wein) it was certainly not worth the cost for the service levels. still was eating delicious and the ambiente was nice. only too unorganized."

"We stopped for happy hour and had two glasses each of $5 house wine. The wine was good, and the reduced price appetizer sampler was outstanding. We also ordered eggplant parmesan for our main entre, and it was very good. Our service was quick and friendly. Will definitely come back next time we are in San Diego."

"After running the marathon earlier that day (1 June) some friends and I were looking for good Italian food. We were only three of very few customers on a Sunday night so I'm not sure why the service was so slow. We didn't mind waiting so much, however we sat outside and we were unaware that they allowed smoking in that area, which was unpleasant. The food was great, albeit overpriced. I would probably try someplace new next time, but I wouldn't mind eating there again. I would just sit inside and bring a snack with me to for the wait."

"Good Italian restaurant situated in Little Italy restaurant strip of San Diego. We ordered a pizza and some pastas. The pizza was good. Pasta was so so. Compared to some other very expensive restaurants on the strip, this restaurant has a family vibe and the prices are reasonable as well."

"We could not be more satisfied with our experience here. We were celebrating after getting eloped this day and they gave us both a free glass of champagne, and tiramisu! The staff was extremely attentive, constantly refilling our drinks, clearing plates, and checking in on us. The pasta was incredible. You have to try the cheesewheel pasta. Truly a rare experience you can't pass up."

"DO NOT BOOK! Had a reservation on valentines day, and show up and the restaurant was closed. I even got a confirmation text. Completely ruined the day for us! OpenTable and de Medici needs to figure this out ASAP before ruining more peoples dates and nights."
