"I've come here for my birthday for 3 years in a row now. Today I was a little disappointed in regards to a couple things; when I first got there, almost every dish on the table was still dirty. We had a table for 15. The place is very dimly lit, so to say that I could feel the grunge on the plate still, is pretty yucky. When I brought it under the light, I could see smears on the plates and even small food particles, on some tongs as well. The service was also not as great as it had been previously. I felt like I missed out on a lot of meat that went by; the waiters should make a point to ask everyone. The bathroom is gross; it seems very dirty, and one toilet began to flood when I tried to flush it so that my child could use it. It was quite a turn off to have dirty dishes to start off, but then a gross bathroom made me question the overall cleanliness of the place. I hope the employees and managers step their games back up, as I went from a 4 star rate to a and I'm thinking it is more like a 2.5 "

"I have been to this restaurant many times in the past with family and friends. The food was consistently good. They are normally busy. Recently we went back for their Dim Sum and added some things as well. It was clear to us that either they have a new cook or they are no longer the place they used to be. Food was mushy and two dishes undercooked. The chow mein noodles were lacking sauce and very dry. Spareribs were not servable and were undercooked. Another dish was also undercooked. When we walked in around lunch the place was almost empty. Not the usual busy place. That should have tipped us that things were different. Given the fact we have been to this restaurant many times before you know when things are not right. This was one of those not right times. Hopefully in the future if we return we find this was simply an off day. Things need to improve for sure."

"This restaurant is off the Barnet Highway in Coquitlam. I might have given it four stars except that when we walked in, there was only one waitress and she was busy attending to a table of patrons. So we had to wait in the lobby for about 15-20 minutes before anyone came to greet us. I'm not blaming the waitress...she was doing her best but there should have been someone else at the front desk. Other than that, once we were seated, the same friendly waitress brought us the menu and took our drink order. We ordered the three-course meal for $21 which included an appetizer: minestrone soup or choice of two salads, a choice of several main courses, and a choice of dessert: ice-cream or tiramisu. I had the seafood cannelloni with linguini and salmon, and my husband had the veal parmigiana with roasted potatoes and vegetables. Both were delicious, the pasta was home-made, and the servings were more than ample. I thought the price for the three-course dinner was very reasonable. We sat inside but noticed that there is also patio sitting for good-weather days."

"I hate to give such a bad rating but my hubbie and I had such a bad experience here I felt it only my duty to warn off any future souls who might stumble into this customer service nightmare.After a late night of scuba diving lessons, hubby and I found ourselves looking for a late meal and wanted something not junk foodish. We were happy to find this place open. We were seated quickly and there were several diners there so we were feeling hopeful that at least we'd have a decent meal. We ordered the popcorn chicken snack, a bowl of pho for him with a strawberry smoothie/tea and the lemongrass chicken for me.The pho arrived and was bland but edible. The noodles were not really cooked and the 3 strips of beef were not generous, but never-the-less the soup was ok for the very hungry scuba diver sitting across from me. My dinner never came. Neither did the popcorn chicken. Neither did the smoothie. Trying to attract the attention of the very young staff person was impossible. They totally ignored us. Being very hungry I was a bit grumpy watching my hubbie eat and by the time he was finished I didn't even want to wait for food they had obviously forgotten to make.Going to the till we asked if they had forgot. The man-child serving us was stunned befuddled and confused. He showed us a paper bag on the counter (which had to have been there over 1/2 hour because I saw it sitting there) and said it was our popcorn chicken. Wha? We never ordered take out. No one told us it was ours or to get it. Earlier I had noticed him throw out a strawberry smoothie he had just made - and thought, hey, were's our strawberry smoothie. Wha?Anyway, he rang up the bill for the entire meal, over $27. Maybe he just didn't understand. We weren't about to pay for food we never received. Finally it dawned on him and he apologized saying their computer wasn't working. The order was in the computer well enough to wring the bill up. Huh? I then suggested that perhaps they should just give us the soup for free due to the lack of service we had. This request was totally ignored (maybe he was hard of hearing?) and we ended up paying $8.77 for hubbie's mediocre soup. I was just as happy to get out of there so I could go get something to eat. I left hungry and we went home and put together some food.I wouldn't recommend this place unless you want bland soup in front of you in under 2 minutes and don't order anything else. For god's sake. Nothing else."
