"It's obvious this place has new ownership since the pandemic began because it's become quite dumpy and run down. The patio needs some major cleaning up and updating and the inside needs a deep clean. Staff here is incredibly friendly and there is a bit of a wait for food, despite not being busy, so it's definitely fresh and piping hot when it comes out. Food portion is decent and we'd say it's just ok. Fish is nice and buttery but it is quite greasy. The chowder was an interesting super oily broth that lacked flavour. Mostly full of potatoes, couldn't find too much fish but a good sized portion. It definitely needs more cream because it's thin as chicken stock. Prices are better than most places but this place doesn't seem to be what it once was. Overall, an alright place to stop if nothing else is open but I'd try something else next time."
