"OMG! This is NOT bar food, it is fantastic gourmet food and drinks at reasonable prices and large portions for Tapas. How have we missed this place? Maybe distance, since we are in Holly Springs, but we will now make a point to go here whenever in Cary or Raleigh. I think people look at the outside unassuming front in a strip center and don 't bother to open the door.The atmosphere is upscale trendy bar with dark lighting, stars painted on the ceiling, and artwork on the walls. There is a nice bar and cozy, but enough seating inside and out.Catalan is a fusion mix of different Latin, Asian, and American flavors. They are willing to try new things and adjust to the American palate on some of their dishes. You will not find a better, more delicious charcuterie board anywhere! Italian meats, mixed cheeses, fresh fruit and home made jam, nuts, crackers, pickled peppers, and more.Their version of a bang-bang shrimp is 4 huge jumbo shrimp battered with a light in the mouth, yet generous, crispy batter with their special sauce on a bed of lettuce.They cook their Ropa Vieja for 11 or 12 hours to make it tender and flavorful.What else is left to say? Go for brunch on weekends, or lunch, or dinner, or just drinks (but I challenge you to see the food passing by and not order at least one plate).Jorge served us and was a delight. Give it a try, this is a place worth keeping in business."

"Serendipity has some excellent sandwiches and lunch specials; probably some of the best in downtown Cary. Not only is the food good but the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. I had their pastrami special with a side salad and it was the best work lunch I've had in some time. Filling yet light enough to not slow you down, I'll definitely be back to try some more."

"We've visited this restaurant before. The owner is quite outspoken and made an unnecessary comment about our 4-month-old baby. We were charged for a juice we didn't order, and although our party was only three people, an 18% gratuity was added to our bill. The menu states that gratuity is included for parties over 8. The chaufa was overly oily and lacked flavor, and the chicken special was bland. Be cautious when dining here, as there might be unexpected charges and the hospitality is lacking."

"We had a great time on the River Crab on July 4th. The weather was spectacular and we decided to sit outside. It was perfect - the yellow umbrellas and the blue sky and water made a calm environment. Our waitress was attentive and met all of our needs. The food was excellent and we hated to go. We will definitely be back and I got the word out about this place. Watching the boats on the water is a huge plus. We hope we can now return to a sailboat ride and lunch which is offered during the week."

"Probably the best buffalo place in the area. Great outdoor seating, great service, good prices for the portions. Had the fried chicken sandwich and memphis mac, great stuff going on. Brooks was great the whole time as our server. Definitely coming back more often."

"This is my absolute favorite place to get fresh authentic greek food. They have THE best hummus that I have ever had (and I have tried dozens of places throughout the Triangle area). They also have the BEST stuffed grape leaves, falafel, and shawarma chicken, and greek dressing. Everything I have ever had from any of their locations is just the best tasting. Authentic and fresh always! They also have a large variety of dishes and sides to choose from. I wish I had one closer to my house!"
