"I’ve visited just one time (last weekend) but I can already tell that Via Vai will be one of my favorite restaurants in Carlsbad the food was fantastic, they have a lovely patio and with very cozy seating inside, the service was excellent, they have a very good wine selection and I loved the menu options. We are definitely going back soon."

"We stumbled upon this restaurant and found a gem! I had the spaghetti and meatball and my husband had a sausage sandwich. It was so delicious. We had plenty for leftovers and enjoyed it just as much the next day. It is a very casual place. Service was excellent."

"This place really is nothing special and, at this price point, itâs a bit of a waste of money. The food lacks seasoning and flavor. Itâs just ingredients stuck together on a plate with no unifying skill or finesse involved to elevate the dishes above the sum of their parts. The carpaccio was bland and flavorless. The avocado risotto was under-seasoned and the halibut it came with was over-cooked. The chicken in the Genoese pasta was similarly over-cooked. There wasnât a single dish that we felt we couldnât have made better ourselves at home. The service was ok, nothing special. We had been to Jeune et Jolie the night before and the disparity between the quality of the two establishments was enormous. Spend a bit more money and go there instead. Youâll thank me."
