"It was good.. My friend and I were at X-Fest and needed to grab something to eat during one of the performances we didn't care much for. There were many food carts there and we had not eaten from any of them, so we ran to the one with the shortest line at the time that didn't just have smoothies... We're women who need real food to chew on.<br/ <br/ We opted for the teriyaki beef to share. I was a little disappointed in the portion but in the end it was good enough for us to share and not complain later. The food was good, it came with this awesome sauce but I would probably prefer to go to Edo and have the same order, for the same price and end up with a bigger portion.<br/ <br/ PS: I think prices change if they're at an event. There was their board with their original prices in the truck that was very visible to the public, their teriyaki chicken/beef was at a lower price on the hidden board."

"There's a reason why this place has the longest line up at lunch in the Suncor food court. Actually, a few reasons. Fast, efficient, tasty, friendly and cheap. You can get ready made food like teriyaki and fried meats with your rice and veggies, or get pho or vermicelli bowls made to order. I asked for no rice and extra veggies with my teriyaki chicken and they generously filled my box to the brim there must've been at least a pound of food in it! Taste wise, it was pretty good. Not too salty and just enough seasoning, though the aftertaste of msg is lingering in my throat a bit. One item combo was only $7.55 tax which is pretty cheap! Staff are very friendly. Happy to have them as a choice for Asian food!"

"We visited here in the early evening, and loved the service, food, and decor. It is a small restaurant, on the east side of 10th Street, and we were able to get a table with no problem. The restaurant becomes much busier a little later in the evening.the ordering process is "custom" in that one can order whichever kind of Sushi one prefers - there are MANY to choose from. We ordered about six different kinds, and they are made there - huge and mouth watering. They do not compare with grocery store purchased Sushi. These are FAR superior!!!!Service here is pleasant, understated and yet efficient and informative. I recommend this establishment highly."

"Japanese Village is my favourite restaurant in Calgary. It has about 9 square tables laid out with two chefs a table (one for each half). They use authentic Japanese knives and cook while performing a humorous and changing act. The atmosphere is a westernized Japanese theme that really strikes the cultural itch you are looking for. On that note, the food is unreal! Order the 27 dollar beef you will not go wrong. Each main course comes as a 4 course meal with Dessert! Tea is also included in that price. If your feeling like shilling and having the extra fun order the Sake Bomb for all individuals at your table! SAKE SAKE SAKE BOMB BOMB BOMB, you will not go wrong here for an important dinner impression or simply out for friends before a night out. They will make you laugh and feed you to full! This is the top restaurant in Calgary offering a flaming main course alongside multiple dishes that come with. 27 dollars incredibly well spent for this experience! Thanks Japanese Village for being the Calgary GO TO VENUE. 5/5 Stars and counting."

"WOW! El's know's SUSHI!! They were recommended to us and it was awesome!!! Here was the only down side: we wanted to pig out on sushi; however El's did not have all-you-can-eat as advertised. So we needed to go somewhere else to fill up as it would simply be too costly to eat here with the ala carte prices.For those with exceptional taste, top of the line ingredients and highest quality, EL's is recommended. Be prepared to spend money though."
