"Serving its customers for 50 years now, the Sea Shanty is Burlingtons longest running fish and chip restaurant. A non corporate, family run business, that prides itself on making your visit a small holiday! Lots of love and pride in their product! Good people. Good fish and chips. Do yourself a favor... Go."

"We enjoy the halibut fish and chips as they are not super greasy like most fish and chip restaurants. Service is always great and friendly."

"The service was great, we got our plates that we wanted, and most of all, the food was delicious. The fish (halibut), the chips, and the coleslaw were perfect. Highly recommend!"

"Excellent food. Deep fried fish, French fries and shrimp. A little surprise no clam chowder, but other than that worth the stop."

"Went here with a friend for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. It is on the top floor of a retirement building and has a wonderful panoramic view all around the area. The staff are friendly and pleasant and the food was wonderful. Had a very nice quiche and caesar salad and best of all their company policy is that they don't accept tips or gratuities. I will certainly go to The Ruby again."

"We had the Omakase for our anniversary dinner. We were very excited to be able to go to a more upscale Japanese restaurant in Burlington. We usually head to places in Toronto to eat fancier Japanese and we loved every bite. The Chawanmushi (savoury egg custard dish) was divine we ate some dishes that we'd never had before. I especially loved the soup in the ironstone teapot. The sushi was also amazing. Would definitely come back bring people. Elegant simple decor and nice service. The quality is reflected in the pricing and should not be compared to the run of the mill sushi restaurants that are usual found in Burlington. (which we also enjoy for our regular sushi cravings). If you looking for a authentic Japanese food, I highly recommend coming here."

"Our regular sushi place was jammed packed so we needed to find a quick replacement. The other trip advisor reviews were promising so we chose Doma Sushi. Located in the Longo's plaza at Dundas and Walker's Line, this is a small sushi place. The staff are very friendly Japanese, who made us feel welcomed as soon as we arrived. They are attentive and very eager to please. The decor is low key and the atmosphere a bit cheesy with Japanese karaoke of very mushy love ballads. That is our only complaint. Now to the good stuff. The menu is varied and well priced, including great explanations for those who may not know what to order. Our tea was unlimited and they either don't charge for it, or they forgot to charge us for it. Either way, we were happy to have the tea, even if it was a bit watered down from our regular Japanese tea experience. I cannot stress enough just how fresh everything tasted. I highly recommend the Kami Kaze roll and make sure to have their Miso soup because it was fresh and not as salty as other places we have tried. We also had the Yellow tail roll, which has cucumber and green onion: a great alternative to the California roll if you like fish. Yaki Udon was very good, but only if you enjoy a very strong seafood flavour. The Sushi dinner A was small, but perfect for a taste of raw fish and not too much rice. We will be trying other places in the area, but if ever in a jam we would go back to Doma and would recommend it to others."
