"Our 51st anniversary was in June, but too busy then, so used tonight as a belated celebration/date night. We made a reservation the day before and requested a quiet section, so when we were seated it was what we asked for. Service was prompt and after drinks were ordered, we were brought a small warm loaf of bread with whipped butter. We chose a baked brie starter with crostini and red pepper jelly and pesto garlic sides - delicious!! For dinner we both selected the 10 oz. prime rib roast beef and asparagus. Cooked to order and the asparagus was a generous portion of nice tender spears with au jus and horse radish on the side. Needless to say, neither of us ate all 10 oz. of the beef, so we now have enough left for another dinner at home. Service was mostly attentive and timely. Our server very friendly and polite. Would we come back again? Of course, this isn't our first visit and won't be the last, but is not a "budget" night out and will be spaced out between other dinners out."

"Worst Jack Astors experience I’ve had. Terrible service, took forever to get food, and when it finally arrived it was cold. Had to flag someone down to order a second beer it never arrived so I had no drink at all during the main course. Waitress was around but never checked on us a single time, even when we tried to wave her over, we were apparently invisible. Had a long week, just wanted to relax with a nice night out and a few drinks, nice meal and dessert, but that didn’t happen. Two hours into it and I only had one drink, cold pasta, decided to pass on the rest, left, and went elsewhere for dessert. Just terrible, and clearly other tables where having similar problems. Restaurant was maybe half full, so I really don’t understand what the problem was. Not impressed."

"Cute little place.Went in looking for buns but ended up leaving with a meat pie.It had beef chunks and was made with wine and it was really good!Was about $10 and perfect for dinner or lunch.Not bad price considering it's hand made and actually pretty good.The old gentleman who worked there was really friendly too.He explained to me what the different pies were. I wonder if they make things on request?Will probably go back to try something else or get the same thing. ?"
