"We visited the villa very recently and were delighted with the preparation and service. we ordered the three cursor tasting with an additional appetizer of tartaric acid. we first asked the wetar, and it followed shortly after the amuse bouche. the tartar was not excessively seasoned and well accompanied. followed by a twax breast, accompanied by a local spring roller. the pumpkin soup was reinforced with a hazelnut leach at the table. we both had the venison escape, and it was a leak for the eyes, nose and palate. the venison sausages and backstrap were served on a bed of sauteed red cauliflower with on the stem grilled baby nuts sprouts, to size slices of root vegetables and glow wine marinated apples. was also spaetzli with venison cherry cream sauce on the side. every bite was rewarded. we decided to conclude our weins (a cheap 2016 st. emilion) as dessert. the service was attentive, but the tempo was not forced. in all, a well-prepared and executed meal that was about as satisfied as I have ever experienced at a price that is appropriate for what is delivered."

"We were a group of friends looking to experience a meal at the Scala with one guest having a birthday. And it was our last dinner in Europe after a 12-day visit including cruising the Rhine. A beautiful unique setting. Menu was varied and provided each guest with the ability to order their own specialty. One guest was gluten-free and this was readily accommodated. Each of our 3-courses was expertly prepared and the food was simply terrific and met expectations for a high-end restaurant. Courses were properly timed. Can surely recommend and would return should I come back to Lucerne."

"My family met a nice person at Schilthorn, who recommended that we go here for dinner while we were in Luzern. We are so happy that we followed his advice. The dinner and ambience were amazing. We were served by the youngest brother, who treated us very well. My younger son had their house pizza, which he declared was the best pizza he ever had (and he's had plenty! . My older son had the pasta with truffles. Amazing! I had the frutto mare, and added some spice powder as recommended by another brother. Amazing as well. My wife also enjoyed her dinner. We also split various appetizers, which all were perfectly done. Their white wine from their own vineyard were a super complement for a summer night as well. I want to thank the nameless nice person at Schilthorn who recommended the place. One day, I'll find out who you were. Thanks! I understand from the younger brother that you a frequent guest, and we'll make sure we visit every time we are in town. Thanks also for all the other advice you provided! Thanks to all!"
