"I’ve been to IFR a few times, most recently with some work colleagues. The space is open and simple, but can be subject to the prevailing weather in summer, we found it uncomfortably hot, although on a temperate July evening, it was fine. The food at IFR is always very flavoursome, if at times not particularly subtle, but always delicious. Terrific value for money, and with a great, inexpensive Australian wine list of lesser known grapes from small producers. The service is casual, which may not be to everyone’s liking but hey, it suits the overall vibe. <br/ <br/ For me not your usual Italian, great menu variety, fantastic flavours and good value for money. Thumbs up."

"This restaurant is simple, the food is divine. Prices are reasonable and the food is cooked with love you can taste and see it. We had meat balls, eggplant parmigiana, and semolina gnocchi with smoked salmon. Everything was fresh and delectable. Th his restaurant is run by a couple .. there is always a selection of delicious home made cakes and biscuits available too. No complaints, you wouldn’t be disappointed here. Also the zucchini parmigiana is yum. The rest of the menu has some great choices including saltimbucca Vitello."

"We regularly visit West End for a business meeting on a Monday and often eat in Hardgraves Street afterwards for lunch. We noted Luigis was always closed on a Monday, so today we were excited being a Friday, that we would be able to finally enjoy a pizza and a glass of wine before heading back to the Gold Coast. We approached the restaurant and noted the tables were set up outside, the A board displayed and the entry door open, inside there were 3 or 4 guys at the counter, so we ventured inside only to be told they don't open until 12, and this was ten to 12!! Guys, come on, step up to the hospitality plate, you are not a bank or a post office.....there was no 'hey we are not quite open yet, but can we sit you down and offer you a drink, where would you like to sit, etc' We walked out feeling very unwelcome, and reconsidered our options. We decided to eat at another of our favourite restaurants in the same strip, great food, great service as always. We won't darken Luigi's doorstep again, the clock ticks soundly at this place."

"Gf pizza and pasta options made fresh in house. make sure that the pizza oven is shared with non-gf pizza options. but we have opened hr to eliminate too much contamination and it worked. no side effects and the best tasting pizza I had in years. well-known personal and understanding of gf and ceoliac different needs. we'll be back."
