"Just had a weeks break in the Hesdin area of France.We were staying about 5km from this lovely restaurant, 6 of us went on Thursday evening it wasn't to busy in the restaurant, but the takaway orders were coming in so the kitchen looked busy.Not with standing that the service and attention was first class especially the young son of the owners he looks a natural for a full time job when he is older. Now the food. ..well it was excellent, about the best pizza I have ever had, base thin and crispy and generous toppings. I will be going again when next in the area. ."

"A very good entry, dish and dessert at 35€ at noon. We had a very good lunch and there was a lot: 7 adults, 4 children and a baby. a room was privatized for us, which allowed us to be a little isolated without disturbing other customers, it was cool. ideal for many families. fresh foie gras lamb salad and spicy taboulé, the perfect sweet chocolate mignarde"

"We ate here after a day out exploring Boulogne and were made very welcome as the first guests of that evening's service. The restaurant was clean, tastefully decorated and the waiter was beautifully polite and helpful as we negotiated the menu. The food was average, not bad, but nothing particularly special either. I had a salmon pasta which came in an unexpected mild curry flavour sauce as opposed to the creamy sauce its usually served with. Beware the Welsh dishes, they are a take on welsh rarebit I think, but my husbands 'welsh jambon' was basically a large amount of melted cheese with a slice of bread and ham under it. It was good value and I think I would go here again, but I'd definitely choose more wisely from the menu next time."

"A minute's walk up the main road from the tourist restaurants of Place Dalton in central Boulogne and you can eat with local people at less than half the price in this cafe-restaurant. Good for families on a budget as you can have specialities of the day (like Parmentier- the French rival to Shepherds Pie!) as well as kid-friendly dishes like steak-frites on the budget lunch menu; only 10 Euros including very good house wine, beer or a soft drink. Simple, basic, traditional French interior, with excellent friendly service by a guy who looks like the owner-manager."

"Second visit here. Set menus are great value and loads of choice. The moule frite is delicious fresh and full of flavour washed down with a carafe of red wine. Sat outside to soak up the atmosphere and lovely location. Staff very friendly."
