"It is fast eating, so they do not come here and expect a 3-star dinner. but if they want a fast burger with decent attitudes that have a bit more than reason, they can do much worse than this place. it would be just as at home in an American shopping center, maybe more as it is in bern 's Welle7. in the opposite direction to the location Marktgasse, it has enough space over the surrounding food place so that they do not have to eat it on the road. it is a good place for a visitor to go for a fast meal while washing in the ground floor in the wash bar, the building 's launderette/bar-mashup. there is also a dozen other restaurants in the building, so if someone does not want bark in their party, there are many other possibilities and they can still sit together."

"So happy to have found a place that resembles comfort in Bern! Cafe Black is definitely a local joint (occupied mostly by retirees) with good food. Omelets, open-face sandwiches, made to order sandwiches and daily specials are always very good and always served quickly and with a smile. My favorite breakfast/brunch with or without guests."

"As someone that travels light, I usually need to do laundry about every 6 days. Getting directions to this place from the Bern information center was hopeless! Nevertheless, I knew the rough direction I had to go in but asked a gentleman on the street who happen to be walking in that direction. He was kind enough to walk me to the place. The Wash Bar is located at the new section of the Bern train station. It's about a 10 minute walk away from the actual station. This is their new extension it seems. To my surprise, it was actually a bar. I was quite happy to have a beer whilst my clothes were going for a spin. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. She was lovely. We ended up having a wonderful chat and turned out to be a good night. Who would have thought washing clothes could be this much fun lol. The price I paid for a beer and wash was 12 CHF. Not sure what the cost of the wash is without the beer. (In Oz it would cost about $12 for just a beer).Even if you don't have laundry, which other locals there didn't, it's a pretty funky venue."
