"This is my favourite restaurant in Köln-Dellbrück. The interior is cosy with visible timber-frame. The prices are moderate and the food is very good. There is a chalk board presenting specialities of the day, but also the standard fare is of high quality. This is not a three star Guide Michelin restaurant, and does not pretend to be either. It is a friendly family place, with excellent service, where you get great food and an atmosphere made to sit and chat for a while after dinner."

"The Gault Millau guide says this is one of Germany's top 5 restaurants - a rating also supported by Michelin's three stars. Expectations, therefore, are sky high - and, as the Trip Advisor ratings show, almost impossible to fulfill to everyone's satisfaction. 'State of the art or not,' there is no denying the perfection of the plated product - whether the choice and combination of ingredients (complex), their preparation (nothing less than exact) and their mouth watering presentation on 'made-to-match' plates. We recently had the pleasure of eating in a similar establishment in Singapore and comparisons are inevitable even if problematic internationally and at the highest end of Haute Cuisine. For our taste (and that is what it finally comes down to), the atmosphere of the Vendome was a little cooler (German restraint), the service matter of fact rather than euphoric (were we really in one of the world's top restaurants?) and the dishes the epitome of perfection but without the explosive surprises of some of Wissler's more extrovert competitors.A couple of minor 'Anregungen:' The lunch menu (4 or 5 courses) was a vegetarian disappointment - although the restaurant quickly recommended substitutes.The menu could/should also have featured wine recommendations - or, even better, promoted a 'mini-degustation' to sample the breadth and quality of the wine cellar. This, though, is nit-picking and doesn't detract from the Vendome's quality.One very pleasant surprise: the bill for two (including the wine-by-the-glass recoomendations of the Sommelier) was less than for one person at the equivalent Singapore restaurant. By comparison, the Vendome also has windows and a great view - although the view to the plate was more complex and wins every time! Viator Coloniae"

"Right large portions, tasty and visually well dressed, the operation pleasant, courteous, flashing, simply nice. The old-style restaurant, cozy with an astonishing outdoor terrace, beautiful medieval farmhouse and since 1884 owned by the Wermelskirchen family, this is something special! Have even surpassed Corona, which meant death for many gastronomics.We will visit the restaurant again though we come from Belgium."

"Arguing the well-maintained mountainic sense of life!Hotel and hostage, the latter has slowly evolved into a recovery case with me su. the facts: celiac, white beer of the barrel, soaked satt. Good/very good food, too very fair trips! seasonal and classic! a very good tasty mix! an inn for feeling well...dat dat su am funktioniere is, dat lies here on the owner and wet andreas and his real busy team! et hetz at the seemingly right spot, the operation is going well....I am very happy here, look more and more live football - sitting on the beautiful real wood counter...and enjoy the nice time! continue su!"

"A German style pub close to Bensberg, with a good sized beer garden. The food was better then average and the standard beer selections. If you want to try a pub in walking distance from Bensberg then give it a go."
