"We booked this reservation based on the fact a friend of mine is gluten intolerant. We called weeks in advanced to be instructed what was appropriate to have based on her dietary restrictions- all was a go. We arrived to our reservation and selected to sit outside. A gentleman (his name he didn’t disclose) proceeded to take our bottle of Prosecco without offering glasses (this is BYOB). We were given attitude while we were confused and asked why someone would open a bottle of Prosecco without glassware, but let it go. When came time to our food order, our friend with the gluten intolerance was told by our Twist server, they only had gluten free pancakes and waffles, nothing else on the menu due to lack of delivery for that day. Rather upset because we called in advanced and spoke to someone regarding options, we were rather confused. This is a gluten free establishment, so to only have gluten free pancakes and waffles seemed odd based on prior conversation. I asked to speak to the manager. Our server said “ you’re speaking to him”. I asked to further explain the mishaps and he declined to provide a response to allow my dining guest the comfort of selecting options that would prevent her from getting extremely sick. I called for the hostess to bring me the manager. She told me she was the manager(Brie). She informed me the pancakes and waffles are NOT gluten free and in fact they still had alot or other GF options. Umm…this could have caused great discomfort to my friend! At this point we stopped trusting this establishment. Food allergies and intolerances are a big deal and to not be taken seriously is an issue. I made reservations elsewhere while sitting at the table, while our server/manager got our bill. We received the bill and he charged us a fee for “juice carafe” even though we supplied our own OJ for BYOB in a bottle they don’t sell on site). When confronted, he said he didn’t know. Proceed with caution!! Please call about issue!!"
