"The only bad thing about this restaurant is that is in a bad location. I feel that if it had a better location this places would be packed with people. Didn't look like much when we got there, but inside and out was clean. The food was good. They had birria de chivo(goat),and borrego(lamb), I decided to go for borrego. It was tasty, not dry, good price, and the lady was so nice when she asked me if I also wanted panza(stomach)de borrego with the meat I said no it's ok I never tasted it, she ended up giving me a free taco so I could try it, and it was also real good. Overall the experience was good, and the service was great. Restroom where clean which is always a plus in restaurants in Bakersfield."

"I was very disappointed in this restaurant especially after reading all the glowing reviews. Several people said it was authentic Mexican food....NOT! It's one of these new millennial fad places with no more than glorified Taco Bell food. Everything is served on disposable plastic even if you dine in. It's like an old-time cafeteria where you get a tray and your point and tell the server what you want and how to fix it . the place was packed with the lunch crowd and extremely noisy. The food was adequate in the service was very good. The servers were very pleasant. If I had not been so hungry I would have walked out of this place as soon as I saw what it was, but I was too tired to go look for something else."

"Good food but I wasn't too happy with the queso birria tacos. Everything else on the menu is pretty much like the other La villa places. I only wish they had more than one register because when you pick up a phone order you have to get in line with the people who are waiting to order."

"I give this place 5 stars because of the workers who have been there for years! blanca was the best! when I heard there was a new owner and then began to see new people. I knew this place would not be the same. then I did not hear blanca with others I have seen for years anymore. the service was not the same. my sister waited for her to eat while the new employees eat in the order window."
