"We have ordered a week before christmas for the holy evening a gans plus sauce. the lady on the phone was very friendly and the chef at the handover also. they have a note on which exactly how to warm the gans and tasted it excellent! the gans were for 5 people. we were four and the part was more than sufficient. we would always order. Price/performance was more than grandiose!"

"Mit einer kleinen Gesellschaft hatten wir uns zum Gänseessen im Darmstädter Hof getroffen. Man hatte für uns die Goethestube reserviert, die doch sehr schlicht und kahl wirkte. Das Essen selbst war enttäuschend. Ein Stück Gänsebrust, die zwar knusprig auf der Haut gebraten wurde, aber mit Soße übergossen serviert wurde und zudem faserig und zäh war. Ein großer fad schmeckender Kloß, schlichtes, fast ungewürztes Rotkraut, fünf glacierte Maronen und ein Viertel gebratener und gefüllter Bratapfel. Außer der Soße wurden keine weiteren Beilagen nachgereicht. Der Salat vorab und die Nachspeise waren ok."

"Am Wochenende hatten wir das Vergnügen in der Spielbank Bad Homburg zu Gast zu sein! Wir hatten auf Empfehlung von Freunden einen Tisch im Restaurant Le Blanc der Spielbank reserviert. Dieses ist sehr imposant gelegen mit Blick auf Rolettetische und auf der anderen Seite das historische Kaiser Wilhelm Bad. Die Einrichtung des Restaurants ist modern und angenehm gestaltet. Wir entschieden uns für das 5 Gänge Menü und starteten in den Abend mit einem Gläschen Champagner!Besonders hervorzuheben ist der hervorragende Service der uns geboten wurde. Wir wurden von einem jungen man mit Brille bedient der uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen hat. Das Essen war ein Traum, wir haben selten so gut gegessen! Besonders in Erinnerung geblieben ist der confierte Kabeljau und der Hauptgang, Maibock mit gegrilltem Blumenkohl. Alles sehr raffiniert gekocht und abgeschmeckt. Negativ ist nur ein Herr im dunklen Anzug aufgefallen der mit seiner harschen Art den Gästen als auch dem Personal gegenüber, uns immer wieder aufblicken ließ, da dieses Verhalten eher störend war. Es machte den Eindruck, daß er mit der Situation des gut besuchten Restaurants leicht überfordert war. Dies minderte unsere Erfahrung in diesem Haus allerdings nicht. Unseren Abnend ließen wir mit einem Cocktail an der Bar ausklingen und versuchten uns auch am nahegelegenen Rollettetisch, welcher dafür sorgte das unser Abend mit leichtem plus in der Börse zu Ende ging!Unser Fazit: Tolles Ambiente, hervorragendes Essen! Wir kommen gerne wieder...."

You hear birds instead of passing cars and the service is very beautiful and French. The menu is very diverse. It is best to connect the trip with a small bike tour. A mini golf course is only 100 metres away. The restaurant is a bit more expensive, but it is worth it."

"Came here for a business dinner with pre-chosen menu. The ambiance is old style as is the service. What surprised me, was how little wine they were pouring into the large wine glasses, sometimes just 1-2 little sips, this the glass was empty as soon as you raised it once. That way they we managed with 2 bottles for the whole evening when many of us could have easily enjoyed twice the amount. The wine list is okay definitely when it comes to whites. For reds the options are either quite expensive Bordeaux or Burgundies also from older vintages or a quite small selection of high level Italians and really not do interesting French or German alternatives at lower prices. As for the food it was quite good, but nothing really special, even though they tried to mss as je it look special. Portions, however, were quite generous for an upscale restaurant. Would I come back, maybe yes for the cosy feeling, but not with my kids as they would feel out of place. As I haven’t seen their full menu, I can’t judge their vegetarian options, which would be important for my wife. All in all good but not great."
