"I read the reviews the same day I was staying there. I should have done my research ahead of time. The hotel and room were dated, but I can deal with that. The mandatory $50 valet was kinda crazy. Nice valet guys, but still. The security guy sitting in the lobby with an ice cold stare was pretty uncomfortable. I smiled and nodded to him and he showed no interest in being a polite human. There were no cups for coffee in the morning in the lobby so I asked for some. When the guy brought them I warmly said Thank You and he gave me a dirty look, as if I made him do extra work. I expected a smile and polite You 're welcome . Just a normal interaction. The room smelled stale, old. My digital key wouldn 't work on the elevator so I had to get a hard copy key. After I got that, my digital key worked suddenly. It was just a long list of hassles with this hotel. A guy shirtless in the lobby was also off-putting. They really need to straighten this place out, do a deep cleaning, and train employees on basic politeness. Not staring people down. Plus, I messaged the hotel through the app if I could check in early. They said no, my room wasn 't ready. I asked if there was a similar room available. They said yes. I was like, ok, can I check in that room. They said that was fine. They should have proactively said that, not make me keep digging and asking. Then, 5 minutes later, my original room was ready. Seems fishy. Won 't stay here again. Too many inconveniences. Also, bathroom sliding door very difficult to close. The handle is some sharp metal fixture that literally stabs into the wood frame, and is loose. Probably not safe, especially for kids. Very old sliding door."
