"Needed a veggie fix last night but surprisingly (upon the recommendation of our awesome server, Marcus) the star of the show ended up being the chicken! The seasonal grilled peaches with pickled bamboo the summer tomatoes in basil buttermilk made me swoon but I won?t soon forget that chili-rubbed deliciousness drizzled with a tangy satsuma vinaigrette. Some of preparations can be a little heavy handed masking the beautiful flavors but overall another wonderful mealat Redbird with excellent service."

"We visited Blackbird on a Sunday morning as out of town guests. It was a short walk from our hotel and right behind the aquarium. When we arrived at 10:30, there was only one other table of diners. We were seated right away, our server was very helpful, and we both decided to get the chicken and waffles. Portion size was perfect and I am obsessed with their tea brined fried chicken. I'm going to try to recreate it back home!"

"The number one thing about this place was the drinks. the drinks were absolutely amazing and very unique the place is a small place which is why I understand having reservations and having such a short amount of time there. I think the best idea is to have reservations for the end of the night so nobody is after you and you don't have to rush to eat or have fun with your friends the atmosphere was amazing the music was amazing the food was spectacular the shrimp and grits was my fav I think it was a curry paste based sauce but it was one of the better dishes for sure. But beyond that the drinks were amazing especially the cigar on the beach oh my goodness you must have that"

"A somewhat limited menu, but the food, atmosphere, and patio are good. The beer selection is, by far, one of the best around. The bartenders and staff are knowledgeable and attentive. I love this place for a first date even though they seldom work out for me (hah! . The bar is good for conversation, or you can get a booth upstairs which is a bit more private. I know this sounds weird, but you have to try the popcorn! I just wish they had free refills. : Parking: East Atlanta is generally busy, but I can usually find parking in one of the lots on either side of the restaurant. Plenty of parking on the streets in the neighborhood behind."
