"Love breakfast at Kates Place and a sneaky late afternoon snack. The relaxed and casual atmosphere is always welcoming.Enjoy going here because they stay open until 6pm when a lot of local coffee places have already closed. recommend"

"I reviewed this place back in May and have been a few more times since then. I love this place; the food is beautiful, decor is relaxing and the service is spot-on. I'm into oysters lately and Ryan's serves both natural and kilpatrick (I ordered 3 of each) and they were fresh and juicy. The seafood laksa was glorious with fresh fish, prawns and some mussels in shells, the flavours were perfect. It's all really well priced. I'm going back again and again. Ignore it's a 'motel restaurant' and have a night out there one night. Highly recommended."

"Best squid we have had for ages and the mains and deserts were delicious as well. Will be back and recommending BG's kitchen to whoever will listen."

"Very pleasant staff and service. The breakfasts were quite well made. Gypsy Eggs (a spin on Shakshuka) has a sweeter gravy with a little bit of vinegar, my wife had the vegetarian, it would probably be better with the chorizo. I had the eggs benedict with bacon which was cooked well, served on English muffin. The Hollandaise sauce has a bit of sweetness to it which is pleasant. Unfortunately all the tables were wiped with a cloth which had a strong egg smell which was a bit nauseating. My wife had a decaf mocha which had a level of chocolate which was not overpowering the coffee however the milk temperature was a bit too high to drink. The macchiato I ordered was a bit under-extracted. It might be that the barista was still dialling in the beans. I think both could be improved with an upgraded grinder and dialling in espresso just before the morning crowd. Otherwise quite a pleasant cafe and some pleasant music."

"Another good value restaurant to add to the growing number of options in Albany, this time with a Philippines cuisine twist. It has the feel of a cafeteria although the food is good quality. They offer a 'brunch ' menu from 10am to 2 pm. Parking directly outside is limited depending on how busy the adjacent chemist might be, however Woolworths car park is right behind the Dog Rock. For nighttime diners, (they open again at 5pm) they offer BYO with a small charge for corkage. They also have an amazing selection of cakes at the front counter. Service is a tad on the slow side but the food is worth the wait. This little gem is well worth a visit"
