"Excessive cost cutting is so evident. Only one server for the whole dining floor. Poor lady was very nice and trying really hard! If owner thinks customers don’t notice you being cheap, you are wrong! Get your act together or you will be out of business before you know. I am surely never coming back here, despite being a Swiss chalet fan."

"Debbie's is a welcoming place to meet friends over a cuppa or a meal. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, and the inside of the cafe is quaint and funky. You can see local art, grab a book to read, hold a meeting, attend a tea party, buy boutique items, leave a card for networking, watch or paticipate in an open mic, and much much more. The food is also awesome! My fave sandwich is the roasted veggie one. I could eat it every day."

"I have been here several times for quick meetings over coffee and a muffin and always found it satisfactory (not outstanding) if pricy as compared to noisier venues like Tim's. However, today's visit was a bust. They no longer have muffins, only large cookies and mediocre tea biscuits (scones). The coffee was overly strong and almost cold.However, there were several staff behind the counter (more than on any previous visits), and it did look as though a husband and wife were in evidence, whom I took to be new owners (?). If this is the case, I trust they will settle down and up their game before my next visit (I will watch this site for new intelligence on this subject).Furthermore, I found that the quality did not match the fancy pricing by a long stretch."

"I hope the new owners read these... our first few visits after they took over we’re amazing! The last few... have left us missing the old owners. Please stop changing the recipes! I just got the butter chicken from the buffet and it full of...a new peppery spice. It used to be sweet and mild and that’s what always had me coming back. My in laws have noticed differences to their fav dishes as well. Please keep the recipes as they were and the lunch buffet dishes milder. They’re getting too spicy for many people that loved your food. If people want it spicier, they will order it that way when they place the order. The previous owners were so successful for a reason... so keep it that way. Hoping our next few visits see improvements back to the usual. We don’t like the changes taking place and this is our favourite place to eat out and get take out. I’m disappointed in my meal today. -a concerned, loyal customer"

"Tonight I celebrated my birthday with my family at the Mandarin. We hadn't been since they had renovated and we were very pleased with the new decor and set up! The food selection was vast and quality very good. The service was the best! Our plates were always cleared away quickly, and water glasses never were empty. Edwin and Mary were the best! ps...if you sign up for their newsletter you will get a coupon mailed to your for a free dinner for the week before or after your birthday!"

"We were so disappointed coming to this Works after having pas great experiences in Ottawa . The server took our order and was very good at the beginning then never returned. We waited for over 35 minutes to get our food and it was not busy. My side dish of broccoli was raw you could tell they forgot it and threw it in the microwave for 30 seconds, I asked for our bill as soon as our food was delivered, after we ate quickly to go see a move i had to ask again for the bill. They must need more staff! We won't be back."

"Had a great experience here! You have characters on the menu clearly what celiac is safe. Almost the entire menu is GF except desserts and flour tortillas. All meat and toppings were GF and tortilla chips and dives were also GF. They also have a GF burrito option and they grill it between foil, so it is not contaminated. They are knowledgeable and super nice!"
