Holy cow I like this place!!!! The food is fantastic. I would be happy with her spicy dill martini (I think that's what it was called) and truffleries! Great evening, great service and great food! Thank you. View all feedback.
What Elliot Satterfield dislikes about Oro:
our first time in oro. very nice location in the inner but the main dining room was not open, so only sitting in the tavern area. very good, our participant was uninterested and rude. the eating was fantastic! grid whole muscheln were best I had in SCITUATE. bolognese was excellent as the fish cakes my wife ordered. I hope they'll be on the next visit. View all feedback.
We're visiting New England for the summer from Los Angeles and so far we've had some amazing food, but Oro has been miles above everything.
Overpriced and underwhelming! Here's the summaryOro is a glorified local bar that serves overpriced food by unpolished, inexperienced but friendly
Hostess seated us promptly. Breakfast choices are buffet or menu - we ordered off the menu. Healthy choices are noted on the menu and I had the avocado and poached egg on toast. The entree was delivered within 20 minutes and was served hot. The menu prices are commensurate with a Waldorf Astoria but a bit pricey for the Orlando area.
Stuck in Mickey-land for a convention, a group of us were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oscar's at the Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. Although I'm not a lover of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual, including a smoked salmon bar, prosciutto bar and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of family's with kids, so it was a bit noisy, but that didn't really detract...everything the group of 4 tried, we loved. Only 2 things that were a little strange were that the cost of the buffet only included Mimosas, not **** Marys and there were no Eggs Benedict on the buffet??What impressed me most though was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar, it was empty, although two staff members I asked told me it would be restocked. When I mentioned it to our waiter, he came back and said they'd run out, which was disappointing. The manager came over an apologized, said they'd even sent over to the next door Hikton but they were out til Monday...not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate heaped with the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time....THAT is service.
Wonderful experience. Food was perfectly cooked. Waiters were extremely attentive. Can't wait to go back.
