If your ever find yourself staying the night in Sault Ste. Marie (US), drive over the bridge to Canada and check this place out! Burger Don implies in the name what you would expect: a gourmet burger place. But trust me when I say "Cross the boarder to Canada for Tacos". These were fantastic! My son is a bit of a Poutine cone sour, and give this place two thumbs up for this truly Canadian dish. See the locks on the US... View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Burger Don:
Showed up at 5:00pm on a quiet summer Sunday as a party of two. Not exactly prime time. Tables open but was told to sit at bar because tables are for larger groups. Plenty of couples at tables. Would have been ok to sit at bar with drink to await next table (even though there were already tables available, and one table was getting ready to leave) but was not given that option. I guess they don't need the business. W... View all feedback.
Food was excellent. I had the portobello burger and it was delicious. It was packed with many people waiting for a table so it felt a bit crowded but the food was worth it.Vegetarian options: There are salads and vegetarian burgers, portobello or impossible meat substitute.
Fabulous burger spot in this part of the town. Went to Sault for the Agawa canyon tour and was craving for a burger and this place was simply superb. Generous portions, awesome fries.
First time there with a friend from out of town and we both thoroughly enjoyed the burgers, fries, poutine and of course the drinks!! Will definitely be back, and highly recommend you check it out! Locally owned!!
The food was good. I had the Don burger and fries with extra bacon dipping sauce for the fries. My wife had a custom burger with salad and the salad was almost tasteless.
The food at this restaurant is very tasty. I sampled the calamari, dill salad, spinach salad, impossible burger, and cheese curds, all of which were outstanding. The calamari had a generous coating, but it did not detract from the overall flavor. For vegetarians, there are options like Portobello mushrooms or impossible burgers. The staff is also accommodating of dietary restrictions, so you can always ask for specific modifications.
