My husband and I love coming here for special date nights or Christmas get togethers. I am planning to take my niece here for her 18th birthday as well. The food is always amazing. Great service. I love the decor and atmosphere. I have recommended it to both friends and family and can't wait to go back soon. Expect to pay fine dining prices. What Waino Johnston dislikes about Big Fish Steak and Lounge:
the waitresses were very attentive and pleasant.The steak was to die for, it melted in your mouth. The lobster tail was over baked and dry and I had the miss fortune of tasting my mothers dish which had four or so mussels on top, one of which was spoiled and no amount of water would wash away that taste. There's not much else to say other than Stokes is a must-visit restaurant in the Sarnia area.
for a terrible time. The service was atrocious, the food was cold and tasteless, and the prices were outrageous. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that are far superior. Trust me, you do not want to waste your time and money at Stokes.
The pub serves average food that is not outstanding. The beer is good and the location and service are great. I ordered the Philly steak wrap sandwich which was just average.
Great food and very friendly staff!! Location is a bit odd, unless your heading to Hiawatha...it's right across the street. The atmosphere inside makes up for it though. Modern feel with the option of high top tables and regular tables. some of the tables are a bit close together so if it's busy you might be part of the conversation next to you.
Went there 3 times with 3 different dates. Great mood. Nice lighting, very private BUT the kitchen took forever on every course we ordered. 2 1/2 hrs for a rare steak, come on! Ordered apps that took almost an hour each time to arrive. Will not be back there again - EVER.
