So far, the average rating is just 2, so one has to assume that the McAlister's Deli is not among the best rated restaurants of its current guests.

The space was a little dim and mostly empty but it was clean and allowed for an intimate atmosphereThe staff was very friendly and attentive.
Went for dinner on a Saturday night about 30 minutes before closingThey were out of potatoes, drPepper and apparently running low on chicken.

"You wouldn?t think a coffee shop in an old motel with like 5 food items on the menu would have the best breakfast in Destin. But their breakfast sandwich puts them in the running. With multigrain bread, egg cooked over easy (they haven?t over cooked it once I?m the many times I?ve been here), bacon, cheddar, arugula, and the secret ingredient hot pepper jelly makes this one of the best breakfast sandwiches I?ve had. They also have good WiFi (rare in this town) and oh yeah? great coffee!!! It doesn?t have the large breakfast menu for the kids that other places do, but make this a stop when in town."

"Almost don't want to spread the word about this one, would be nice to keep it one of the best local, almost hidden, restaurants along 30A. Already way to tough to get reservations, and for good reason.After many visits the small, intimate, atmosphere and great food and service have never changed. This time of year the patios are the best choice as they are set back from the road and overview one of the coastal dunes lakes through the forest.Good quality, presentation and taste revive you of a much higher priced place with lots of diamonds on a plaque."
