Just the look of this restaurant drew us in! It's so quaint, and the service is so friendly! The food is so fresh, plentiful, and we were told locally sourced! We would certainly return next time we are on the island! View all feedback.
What Owe Nyberg dislikes about Tree House Café:
We visited on a weekday morning. The staff appeared to be composed of teenage girls who weren’t overly friendly. We were first told that we had entered the restaurant in the wrong entrance (watched this happen multiple times again with other groups- who cares? If it’s such an issue, put some clear signage up) then we sat for a long time waiting for service. The salads were very heavily dressed- almost to the point of... View all feedback.
Went on advice from a friend....and was perfect. Food was awesome. A bit odd with the door girl saying "I am not tour server" In an odd and wierd tone. But otherwise awesome.
My wife, her friend and I went for lunch. I ordered the Lamb Gyro. I normally get my food without Tomato's as I am not a fan. Forgot to do this with the Gyro even still it was incredible. Lamb was seasoned well. Tzatziki was good and the bread was warm. The Kale salad was very good as well not overdressed.I washed it all down with a Red Arrow Lager or two. My wife had the Thai Peanut Chicken and Greens. She couldn't eat all of it so I finished it for her. I should have ordered one as everything about this dish was very tasty
This place comes highly recommended on TripAdvisor and also locally from out B
The food was great! We had the tuna and steak tacos. Our server was very friendly but the hostess wasn't as friendly. We will definitely be back!
There is no signage on the patio that states that you need to wait to be seated. We watched as several people chose tables. So we found the easiest accessible one for my walker to access. Within moments a waitress asked us if we had reservations. I said no and we were chastized for not checking in at the entrance to the restaurant. I offered to move but she said that if they were busier that we would have to wait. I apologized and told the waitress that I had not seen a sign that said we needed to wait to be seated. Could not believe the rudeness. We were on the patio, no liquor could be served where we were seated. I got the feeling that because of this, we were unimportant. No liquor, no service.Could not believe the length of time it took for us to be served after that. If it weren't for the fact we were hungry and we had, had a good experience in the past, we would've left.Quite a wait to receive our meal, and the waitress almost gave it to a different table. To make matters worse, only when we were paying our bill did we learn they had specials for dinner. Our waitress (different from the initial one) said she had just learned of them after we had ordered. At least the waitress that was in charge of refilling the water glasses was on the ball, she came back several times to refill.I counted at least 6 to 8 waiters/waitresses, so the wait to order, and to pay the bill, should not have been as long as it was.
