Created an online reservation for a business meal, we showed up and the restaurant was in the building. no lighter, no sign, nothing. my phone number was provided, they could have called so that others would have been hit. but they didn't, I know they were infamous for terrible service, but that's another level.

They brought us our weeping and our apps and forgot us an hour and half an hour. I had to finally get a manager to get service. several people stood up and left them so angry. normally it is one of my favorite places, but it will be hard for me to go back after

Sea Salt just provided the worst dining experience I 'd had in 9 years living in Salt Lake. The place was clearly backed up when we arrived, so we didn 't think too much about the fact the lousy appetizers took a while to arrive. (The burrata plate had literally one spoonful sized serving of burrata, two small pieces of grilled bread, and two bizarre half slices of grilled bread as if 4 slices for 4 people would be too much. The mushroom toast had very mushrooms. But no disaster so far, and we liked our server, who kept apologizing for the obvious problems of the kitchen. About an hour later, our group 's first entree arrived a bland lukewarm dish of dry pasta that had been sitting under a heat lamp for 15 minutes. Our server apologized for the staggered meals and said he brought only one because we were hungry. Fair enough. But then it was about another 30 minutes before two more entrees came, and then another almost surreal 30 minutes before the last entree arrived (an exceedingly bland chicken breast. At some point, we summoned the manager, and that 's when the night became truly bizarre. This so called manager dressed like a server did not even mumble a perfunctory apology for the service. When we suggested he might deduct the chicken from the bill, he said that he did not have the authority to refund items. In my 25 years of dining out as an adult, I 've never heard anything so preposterous as a manager without the authority to comp a dish. This so called manager said he would talk to his supervisor, who was in fact the owner smugly having dinner nearby. Apparently the owner a French owner of a faux Italian restaurant, I might add could care less about his customers, as he confirmed (via our server; he did not even bother to come over that we would in fact have to pay for the chicken. Then our server uncomfortably said he would pay for the dish; we got the feeling he was being exploited by the place. Whatever you do, avoid Sea Salt.

Sea Salt restaurant in Salt Lake City has received a mix of reviews from customers. While some have praised the friendly service and pleasant ambiance, others have criticized the slow service and long wait times for food. The restaurant seems to have potential, with some customers enjoying the overall experience, but others have been disappointed with the level of service provided. It may be hit or miss, depending on the day and time you visit. If you are willing to take a chance, Sea Salt could provide a nice evening out, reminiscent of dining in Italy. Just be prepared for the possibility of slow service during busy times.
