I had the Curry with shrimp, she who must be obeyed had a beef dish. i tasted both (hers under duress,) and they were both very very good. The rest of the party had a wide range of dishes, and all seemed like they were very well received. Highly recommend this place.

We mentioned that we would like to order something els... read more We were a table of six and one of our dishes smelled and tasted a bit off...like urine to put it bluntly. We mentioned that we would like to order something else in place of the dish but the owner got very defensive saying that they only use fresh ingredients (which I question due to the obviously canned mushrooms on my own plate) and that she had been making that dish for 15 years. She was extremely rude, demanding that we pay for the dish. We didn't argue and just asked for it to be boxed up. When it got to the table the box had a hair on it and when we said that we didn't want it for that reason, the owner came to our table and confronted us and accused us of putting the hair on the box. At this point she again brought up and started talking about the horrible dish. My family ran a restaurant for 35 years and understood that the customer is always right when you are running this type of business, so I was unfortunately surprised that when it came to replacing a dish that may have cost her business 3-5 dollars to replace, she proceeded to be disrespectful to us - her customers. For small businesses, reputation and word of mouth are everything, so I will tell as many as I can that there are better restaurants out there and definitely better service. We had numbers 1 and 2 for "hors d'ourves" then shared four plates including the "Pad Thai" Awesome. If visiting Salmon Arm this would be a MUST for dinner. Very nice and way way under-subscribed!
