"We were seated at a table, and I was waiting for my husband to come out of the bathroom to order. The female employee with red hair came over and said we couldn't sit down at a table that we were going to eat at because someone in line was going to order and needed to sit down. I had a party of 4, they were a party of 2 and two tables were open that could have seated them. As my husband came out of the bathroom, she asked us to get up and leave the table, so we left the restaurant instead. Shame because we come quite often and spend quite a bit when dining there. Customer lost."

"Tricky to find the place for the first time but pretty good coffee. Would have rated 4 or even 5 stars but they got rid of the breakfast sandwich and that truly was the best breakfast sandwich I'll probably ever have. Their jelly options are delicious!"

"Gai 'N Rice has never failed to disappoint me in every meal I have had here. Each rice plate is portioned well, has great flavor, and leaves you satisfied that you are glad you ordered what you got. I get the Take2, and swap out the lean meat for dark meat. The combination of the crispy chicken and the flavorful dark meat, along with the soybean sauce and sweet chili sauce, gives the dish so much flavor to play with. Additionally the plate comes with a small bowl of broth that is just so refreshing. I 've had the Thai Coffee and Thai Tea here as well. It 's not too strong on the coffee or tea flavor, but it also isn 't just diluted by the dairy they use. I enjoy it a lot if I 'm having it in the afternoon. Gai 'N Rice is my favorite comfort meal within the Sacramento area and I would implore anyone who hasn 't had it yet to go and try it."

"I was shocked for an breakfast place, they had no espresso machine. the cold mandible milk they served with my coffee was split, carton was probably open over a week. the tofu on our two dressed approached cold, suspected they cook it first then cooked the remaining components. as others have said, cash only business. they also calculate $2.50 per dish to make them vegan."
