A recent visit to this restaurant left guests with mixed feelings. While the food received high praise for its quality and taste, the overall dining experience was overshadowed by poor service. From long waiting times for drinks to mixed up orders, the service did not meet expectations. The staff seemed disorganized, with some even appearing clueless about reservations made through Open Table. Despite the excellent food offerings and hardworking staff, the disappointing service left a sour taste in the mouths of many diners. Some even had issues with the portion sizes and quality of their meals, further adding to the general dissatisfaction. Despite some positive aspects, such as well-made drinks and flavorful dishes, the lack of attention to detail and inconsistent service detracted from what could have been a stellar dining experience.

What Mangia M dislikes about India Oven - Sacramento:
I've never been a fan of buffet, but it's inexpensive and the kids were hungry. I liked the variety including South Indian items as well as the old standybys like Tandoori chicken, but it was a small buffet and much of it was too spicy for my little one, so it was very limiting. Also, some things just don't sit around well, like bhatura which can be light and fluffy when fresh. The first batch of chicken was dry, the... View all feedback.

I had been turned off by a few people because I LOVE prime rib. I had just heard great things about the restaurant. Unfortunately the whole experience was disappointing for us. We had reserved at the open table and requested a stand. When we got there the hostess did not confirm our reservation when we told her we booked them online and still got us to a table. She was our waitress and was pretty good. The drinks were well made but small for the price. We ordered the prime rib. I got the girls cut and my husband got the kings cut which is about a $ 20 price difference. When they came out, they were exactly the smaller portion I ordered in length and thickness. We ordered medium rarity (which it came off like), but it had no flavor and was extremely tough. If there's one thing I love almost as much as prime rib, it's ranch dressing. It was chunky and tasted terrible. (and no, it wasn't blue cheese) To get our USD 100 bill at the end of our meal, we were both utterly disappointed with the entire meal. The quality did not reflect the cost.
