Been going here 2-3 times a month for the last couple years, have had a few less than ideal experiences, but overall it's a pretty good place.
Had high hopes for this place Came in hungry at 3:45pm with the wife, just 15 minutes after the "lunch" prices ended.

"From the time we arrived until the second we left, we were treated with such a gracious and kind attitude. Service was phenomenal and the food was incredibly delicious! They truly took the time to get to know us during our time there as well. We will 100% be back, just for the lovely people we met during our lunch (and the tasty meatloaf dinner). Thank you so much for the wonderful meal and for making this an amazing experience for our 3 year old!"

"Do yourself a favor and give this place a visit! The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly, and they're always happy to tell you about all the unique products they make. They have a really creative drink list they're always adding to. Can't recommend the Copper Fiddle enough!"

"Fred's Diner is a nice establishment to grab a bite at 225 Center St, Grayslake, IL 60030. Be aware that it's first come, first serve. There are a few booths in the front with a bar countertop as well as two seater booths along the wall. We ordered the vegetable omelette and the ham cheese omelette. To add cheese is 50 cents more and to add meat is a $1.00 more. You can have either three pancakes or two pieces of toast with your omelettes. Feel free to have cottage cheese or hash browns too. The pancakes were soooo fluffy. Note, they don't have ice cream to enjoy with your pancakes."
