We had Mongolian Lamb, Combination Seafood Sweet & Sour + Special Fried Rice. All delicious not oily. Generous portions. Service was prompt ( not a busy night). Drinks were cold. Host was friendly and waitress helpful. Plenty of street parking. Linen tablecloths were a pleasant surprise.A coffee machine would have been fantastic but they're a rarity in an Asian style restaurant! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant:
The food was great but had to wait more than an hour. Their excuse was that take away is prioritised. Extremely rude owner however spoilt the meal, Wont be going there again! View all feedback.
Do not really know if the food is good or not. we waited for 45 minutes and served no food. only 2 chicken scales. when I asked why it takes so long to get the food, the waitress said because we were served. 2 suppen already. we went away and have no chance to enjoy his delicious food. from their service standards is far from hongkong. also there are no fresh seafood and they call themselves hong kong seafood restaurant. what a shame and a sweat. that is definitely not a Chinese seafood restaurant or even normal Chinese food restaurant. How should I know? I'm 100% Chinese.
The food should be a tasty bite for our rural children and support the locals. but it was terrible gland, disgusting I could taste the bicarbonate soda will never order again from here
Overall, my experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I ordered the crunchy roasted (Hong Kong style) dish, but found it to be dry, with gray meat that was not fresh. The sauce also lacked the flavor I was expecting. Perhaps I am biased because I had amazing duck in Chinatown, Malaysia. The atmosphere at this restaurant was dull, with no music playing, just the sound of the air conditioning. On a positive note, the waitress was very attractive.
We were looking for a Chinese restaurant that was open on a Tuesday night in Rockhampton, so we decided to try Hong Kong on Denham Street. The new owners were very pleasant and allowed us to bring our own wine, and even waived the service fee when we requested it. We tried the crispy skin chicken and steamed rice, both of which were very tasty. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend giving the new owners a try!
After a disappointing meal in Mackay, we were hesitant to try this restaurant. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the authentic Chinese cuisine that was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the Spring Rolls (made on site and very delicious), Hong Kong Fried Rice, Crispy Chicken with Lemon Sauce, and Chilli King Prawns. With experience traveling throughout Asia and living in Hong Kong and Singapore, we can confidently say that this restaurant offers top-notch food. If you appreciate Chinese cuisine, this is the place to visit. We give it a perfect 10 out of 10 rating.
