I was randomly walking by and was lured in by the vintage vibe this place puts out. Ordered a bowl of chili, coke, and ultimately two burgers. Homemade relish is great, and everything else was honestly fantastic, especially for the price (which came out to be $11 for all that). It’s clear to see why Texas Tavern has been around for over 85 years. They have great food, cheap prices, and hospitality you can’t find anywhere...

Not sure what the hype is other than it's an old place with the old time look. The so called FAMOUS CHILI was plain and disgusting... I can out cook...
