We went here yesterday and the service wasn't great but it was very busy and there was a change over in sections so the service was a bit lacking... BUT the food was good so I went back again today. The food was even better and the service was excellent. It is very nice to sit right on the dock area with a view of the water. I definitely recommend this place for fish and chips or any type of fish burger.Next door is... View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Sockeye City Grill:
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and it was a perfect spot for getting together with friends. The patio is beautiful in the summer and the atmosphere is family-friendly. If I had to pick one dish, I would choose the grilled halibut. I would definitely go back again. View all feedback.

The day I went it was lunch time so the atmosphere was relaxed and the service from the girls was very good but the food is not something I haven't tried before but it's still
Food and services is just Fine or Okay level. Fish and chips is good, but personally, paste is not good. View is great!
We boated in to Steveston, docked and walked up the pier to this lovely restaurant for a early dinner, really late lunch. We got the fish and chips platter to share. The batter was fresh and not greasy. So delicious. The patio setting was great on a Sunday that it was. Will definitely hit this place up again next time we are boating in the neighbourhood.
First time here and we went on Canada Day, no reservations were being accepted for the day so was a bit nervous but luckily there was no wait time and we were seated immediately. The crab and spinach dip appetizer was amazing! Disappointed that they didn't have their paella offered on the menu for the day (researched the restaurant and was looking forward to trying it) probably due to Canada Day so ended up ordering the seafood linguine which wasnt terrible but the seafood was sparse and the sauce a little too salty for my liking but palatable.Service was to be expected on a busy day like Canada Day so not much to say there, food took a while to get to our table but the wait wasn't terrible.Overall not a bad experience, probably will go back to try the paella.
