The gumbo was a light brown broth that contained a few chewy shrimp and some small pieces of fish. It had the texture of something that had been microwaved. The hush puppies were not warm enough to melt the butter and were overcooked and hard, suggesting they had either been kept warm for too long or had been frozen.

This is a fantastic spot to enjoy a drink, watch a game on the screens, and savor some delicious food. The food here is outstanding! The service is quick, attentive, and friendly, just as it should be. I can't wait to return soon!

Dining at this restaurant was a disappointing experience! I ordered the crab-filled shrimp, shrimp and crab hush puppies, and a few other items. The crab-filled shrimp were essentially just frozen butterfly shrimp filled with frozen crab cake mixture. It was mostly baked and resembled more of a filling than a proper dish. The shrimp and crab hush puppies tasted like roasted cheese balls, and every time I took a bite, I was overwhelmed by the gooey texture, to the point where I had to tear them apart and remove the excess before being able to eat them. I couldn't detect any seafood flavor in these heavy dishes. To top it off, the daily special, bread pudding, was as hard as a brick. The only redeeming quality was the pommes frites, but at $40, it wasn’t worth it. I won't be returning.

Great food, friendly service. Fish and chips, roasted mushrooms and Cajun Pasta were all delicious. Tested the crabs/shrimp-hush puppies, but we didn't like them, they were more like a cheese ball with crabs and shrimps.

I used to come here for lunch at least once a week when I worked in Richardson. The food was good but the red beans and rice were amazing. I moved away a couple of years ago but was back for a weekend and stopped by for dinner on Sunday. The old place was just like I remember except it was empty except for maybe 5 customers and two sat outside. The music was up too loud and the help and a customer threw feet away had to shout at each other to be heard. The food was okay but we received a baked quartered potato instead of buttered red potatoes ordered and the red beans tasted like they were poured out of a can over microwave rice. I guess you can't go home again, especially on the weekends.
