Riverland Golden Palace Chinese Restaurant

Staff barely spoke to us and acted as though it was a burden to be waiting on us. Food was flavorless and the menu posted in their window and online advertised much lower prices than the menu we were given. If the food was even halfway decent the price would be justified, but I guess that's why you don't go out for Chinese food in Renmark.

The restaurant did not look particularly appealing from the street but it improved once we got inside.The waitress was friendly and attended to us promptly. We bought a bottle o wine which was reasonably priced and served with decent wineglasses. The food was served quickly and was piping hot and each course was really delicious. Fried prawn toasts were tasty and not at all greasy. Chicken skewers were tender and hot also but the absolute best was the sweet and sour pork. It was a massive serving, so big we both had some and had to take some home.The lemon chicken was the same really generous serve and the sauce was delicious.We had fried rice ....also tasty. Could not fit in Banana Fritter but will try to next time.We enjoyed this meal very much.

The shop was in need of sprusing up but the food was quite nice. only went to the take away side but they also had a dining section. the prices were quite reasonable and alcohol was available if you were to dine in

Have been here before and enjoyed the meal. Drove from Loxton but forgot my purse, knew they had a payWave friendly efpos machine which I have my phone set up for, got there ordered and then told not allowed to use payWave. Drove back to loxton angry and hungry!

Have seen some of the other reviews and agree with that of DMac-Adelaide. Also attended in a small group on a hot night (common in Renmark) and found the food to be basic but plentiful and the price was reasonable given the nature of the venue. Given the size of the premises I was surprised at what seemed to be small patronage but as indicated our group was satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food and general service levels. Drink prices were also reasonable. The test as always is - would I return and the answer is yes it I was looking for a good value, basic chinese meal.
