My first visit here was very underwhelming. The best way to describe the service, the food and the surroundings, is "adequate." But in all fairness, they have plenty of opportunities to improve, as they have only just opened recently. Charged $14.00 for smoked salmon and cream cheese on a bagel. Price average across Canada is $6 - $15, so Sunset Grill is at the very high end.Staff there very loud talking amongst themselves in a foreign language, that is neither English or French. Just noticed that other customers and myself included were not their priority, the staffs conversing was more important. Socialize on your own time.

With so many choices to stop in Red Deer, we decided on a new place for us.There was a pretty large amount for diners in for breakfast, but we were seated quickly. We did move our table once, by the door was cold. The 2nd table wasn't much better, right under a fan that was blowing cold when we sat down, thankfully it went to warm.We had one in our party have the sunset Bennie, he loved the entire dish, esp. impressed with the thick cut bacon.Otherwise we tried the thick French toast, served nice and hot, there was no waiting for it to cool under a warmer.We like the looks of the burger, and hope to pass by at lunch next time.
