We went to visit the Larder Restaurant in the Hilton on a Thursday evening in February. Although our expectations were not very high from a hotel restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised. Despite booking, and confirming booking, it was evident we were not expected. We had to find a member of staff and when a member of our party mentioned we were a little early (4 minutes early to be precise so not early at all in my opinion) the response was “yes you are”. Not at all welcoming. Afternoon tea was average at best. Would not return. read more.
