Firehouse offers a solid dining experience in Portland. While the food is not considered foodie superior, the atmosphere is decent and the owners are nice people. The roasted carrots and bacon wrapped dates for appetizers were a hit, and the mushroom pizza with added sausage was tangy and delicious. The restaurant is recommended for its food and cozy atmosphere, but it is advised to avoid visiting during holidays to prevent long wait times and lackluster service.

Was JCPDX at Firehouse Restaurant a mag?
My first visit was great--we all had the steak, and it was the best I've ever had anywhere. The small plates, roasted brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower would have been a dinner in themselves--and both were excellent. It was a splurge for us but totally worth it. The space is beautiful and warm and cozy. My only markdown was on how noisy it was. I'm just so tired of clattering, noisy restaurants. Food is great, b... View all feedback.

What RM Lee dislikes about Firehouse Restaurant:
Will not go there again. Two out of three were underwhelmed. Food was salty and not very good. Pizza was blah and the pasta was awful. Service was fair. We ordered dinner and then one of our party ordered a to go order that the waitress forgot to put in. After waiting almost a half hour we asked where it was and she said. Gee, I forgot. Looking for food away from downtown, on our way to our place we were staying for RCCC. I found this place randomly and we decided to try in. On a Sunday night, we didn't have reservations but the bar counter had space (or we could have done outside, covered). The bartender was very friendly and welcoming, I both liked and disliked the limited menu. My husband got the steak, I decided I could do pizza, as I could take it back and eat cold leftovers. 3 choices; margarita, mushroom, sausage. I would have gotten mushroom, but I figured if I was going to splurge...It came with scissors to cut your own slice! I loved that (never seen it done). Crust was thin and tasty. Onions were big pieces but soft, sausage was savory and not spicy. Husband liked his steak, they cooked it to perfection. We didn't order alcohol drinks, which I felt bad about, but we were so tired and still needed to drive.Parking is street parking, and wjikw there are no stairs, I feel it would be difficult for ADA accessibility.

Best Portland restaurant I've been to in a long time!!The roasted carrots are phenomenal! Well seasoned and perfect texture! The cauliflower with lemon crema is mouth watering! The carbonara was rich and decadent and the flavor profile worked so well. The dinner was light, rather than heavy!

Y’all have to try this place. Noodles were perfect and wood fired pizza was really good. Service ????

Loved everything about this place except the noise level. Fun atmosphere but if you need to hear everyone at the table you might want to sit outside (which looks like a great place)

My wife and I got married here recently and it was the perfect venue. Food was incredible and they somehow kept the entire building at a good temperature even though it happened in the middle of a freak May heat wave (92°F) and they had a pizza oven going. Staff was so accommodating and flexible and laid back throughout the entire process.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a second floor that I don't think is wheelchair accessible, but most of the room and seating is on the ground floorDietary restrictions: They've seen it all and they'll tell you as much.
