Catches restaurant offers a beautiful venue with a stunning view and friendly servers. However, some customers found the food quality lacking, with cold rolls, overcooked rice, and soggy tacos. Despite some issues, the staff was praised for being attentive and accommodating, especially towards special dietary needs like gluten allergies. The restaurant received mixed reviews on the freshness of their seafood and surf and turf dishes, with some customers praising the flavors while others found the lobster and baked potato soggy. Overall, Catches provides a diverse menu with favorites like Calamari, Blue Crab Ravioli, and creative cocktails like the Cedar Smoked Bourbon. The buffet options were well-received by customers, with a variety of choices and friendly service making it great for family meals. Despite some inconsistencies, Catches seems to excel in customer service and ambiance, being a desirable spot for lunch or dinner with a lovely water view.

From the time we went to the doors that welcomed from the hostesses to the time we left, the entire staff was attentive and friendly! our waitress rustling was charming, knowledgeable and has not skipped a beat. she refilled our drinks before we knew our drinks were low, she already made her away to our table with a pitcher. our cocktails were the cedar smoked bourbon and the cucumber martini. we had the fish spread as appetizer, our entrees were chicken alfredo, surf and turf, tuna and filet mignon. our food was cooked to perfection, kudos to the chefs on layer including erik! the manager stopped on our table to make sure everything was satisfactory and wished our daughter a happy birthday. it was a wonderful time, we look forward to our next night at catches!

We have been here many times in the past and everything was good but our last trip there was not. The food was not good and the service was mediocre at best

I would expect a restaurant of this caliber to be using large shrimp and large scallops in their more costly meals than bay scallops and medium, or basically small shrimp. They should be better than that.

I am a restaurant owner visiting Florida on holiday, when you walk into this beautiful restaurant your mouth starts to water. Everything is bright and clean, the host had a big bright smile on her face welcoming our party. We visited this restaurant the day after Christmas and the server stated that they had a big Christmas brunch the day before. I order the surf and turf price was 45.00 price right) The presentation was a 10, looked so good the streak was cook perfect. When I sliced in to the lobster it was soggy, which tells me it was from yesterday and that was not cooked fresh for me. The baked potato was also from yesterday or it was so over cooked. The couple we were with also ordered a surf and turf and the same thing. The baked potato was overdone, and the lobster was soggy. This is the hardest part of owning a restaurant is making sure the chef or line cook taste the food before they send it out. Now you think I am some guy that’s writing this doesn’t know anything about restaurants. I own two restaurants that do over $12 million a year. The biggest thing we do is stress quality quality quality !!! I hope that the GM spends some time on the line.
