Books and coffee! What more could you want. I loved this cafe and it very quickly became part of my daily routine for my week in Port Douglas. What User dislikes about Whileaway Bookshop & Cafe:
it's half a bookshop and half a caffe that seems a little strange. there is no great selection of food in caffe and the sandwiches were not as nice, they look like those who bought in the super market and simply reselled. View all feedback.

Great espresso and great book selection. There is also a selection of kids books and toys (for very young children mostly). It made me so happy!
We recently enjoyed afternoon cake and coffee at this cafe, sitting in the shade on the street watching the passing parade of people. The shop also has an excellent selection of books. Service was good and we didnt have to wait too long.
We enjoyed a late lunch here. There wasn't a lot of cabinet food left, but we enjoyed an egg sandwich (nice and moist) and muffin. Nice to sit on the street and watch the people pass by. We thought a cafe in a bookshop a great idea and there was an interesting range of good books. Left to myself I could have been here all day!!!
We stopped there quite by chance. Fairly compact menu, but interesting combinations. Service and food were good, but not pretentious.
