To start off, I’m really running out of places to dine in (gotta love food prices being jacked). I walked in, and the whole place felt cozy, nice warm lighting and not too big to the point I felt like I was eating in costco. Got some salmon sushi and holy cow is it good. I’ve tried all sorts of sushi/japanese restaurants stretching from downtown vancouver to maple ridge and this place is now on my top 5 places to vis... View all feedback.
What Mike Stanley dislikes about Sushi 990:
Sushi was insulting. Small served on warm/hot rice. Tried to pass off freezer burned octopus sushi. AVOID this disgusting place. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1 View all feedback.
Hands down Best sushi place in PoCo Really glad we found this place. was a refferal from our neighbours. This is now our go-to sushi place. good prices, amazing quality. Even has great salads, Try the real crab salad for something different :>)
This is our go to take-out Sushi place in Poco. We have tried a few but with no success, so this is our go-to. The service is always friendly (for the most part we take-out), the food is always fresh and the value for what you get is there. I would recommend it to anyone looking for sushi in Poco. The actual place is small so don't expect anything huge, or to be seated right away if you go during a busy time.
After shopping at Costco we decided to Try a New Sushi Restaurant. Awesome Experience. Interesting menu and dishes that were served to other tables all looked Exciting & Appetizing. I chose Vege Special Roll, love Mangoes, not found on most menus. The presentation was Stunning, with thinly sliced apples separating the pieces. Even the sauce on the plate was tasty. It was so Fresh. The Gomae sauce was flavorful. Friend enjoyed Teriyaki Chicken a la Carte. Other Combo, again Presentation delightful. Portions generous and service helpful & friendly. Cannot wait to Try other items on the menu. Thanks for an Adventure in Eating Sushi!
It's always important that the food is fresh, appealing, and tastes amazing. This family-run restaurant checks all those boxes. But wow, it really helps to find a sushi place with heart and personality. Our family eats here about once a month, sometimes more often, but every time Takuyo remembers what everyone in the family orders (even the picky ones who stick with rice and edamame!). They are so good with the kids - they absolutely adore the servers. My daughter chose this as her special birthday restaurant - that says something! It feels like home - not something I can usually say about most sushi restaurants. The teriyaki sauce is made in-house and is AMAZING. All the sashimi and nigiri is good, and my fav roll is the Crispy Crunch roll (and if you are a couple and can't decide, the roll combo with half-portions of 5 different rolls can't be beat!).
This is my new favourite sushi restaurant. The portions are a good size and the quality and taste of the sushi is great!!
