The Costa Coffee location in Plymouth City Centre offers a spacious area for customers to enjoy their drinks and snacks. While the cleanliness was criticized by some visitors, the friendly staff, good selection of food and drinks, and reasonable prices were praised by others. It seems to be a popular spot among locals, although some feel that it can get too busy and crowded at times. Was idcus at Costa Coffee a mag?
It was very busy when we visited and we saw people walk in and back out again when they could find nowhere to sit, but the coffees were up to the usual standard. The only comment I would make is that there was a young person sat in the corner, using her laptop, who looked set up for the day, she had a takeaway coffee which she did not touch whilst we were there, so presumably she had finished this some time before. What Jannerbloke dislikes about Costa Coffee:
I wish Costa Coffee franchises were more fun and a bit less expensive. This one is a bit bigger than mist in Plymouth and there is more space allocated on the pavement for sitting outside when there weather is mild. But it’s a bland uninteresting way to kill time. The site would be good for a good quality hot and cold food cafe with wine and beer, maybe along the lines of a relaxed brasserie were you could linger ove... View all feedback.

This cafe isn’t as nice as some of the other Costas in Plymouth.....it seems rather basic looking, even though it was the latest one to appear on the High Street. Anyway we like Costa coffee so decided, as we were passing to go in. My daughter queued up for coffees and muffins while I attempted to find a table that didn’t have mess and rubbish on the floor around it! Also many seats were stained and dirty which was rather off putting. The coffees were good, although the muffin wasn’t as fresh as I have had at other Costas. The tables were being cleared quite quickly, in fact the young man cleared ours while we were still drinking our coffees! Shame he didn’t look at the floor!

I stopped by this restaurant on a Monday afternoon with my daughters for coffee, and I was disappointed to find that it was not very clean. Many of the tables were dirty, the floors were disgusting, and there were bits of food on the chairs. This was definitely the dirtiest Costa I have ever been to.

I will never return to this restaurant. I wish I could give it zero stars. Let me begin by addressing the issues with the cleanliness of the staff. Since when is it acceptable to serve food while checking your phone? Since when is it okay to have untrimmed and dirty nails while handling food? The table was covered in dirty cups and plates. The list of problems goes on and on. I place the blame on the management, as I am sure the manager is aware of these issues but chooses to ignore them. I will not be returning to this restaurant and wish good luck to those who do.

Standard costa, cappuccino latte. Sat at a window seat with dirty cups cutlery, which was removed but they never came back to wipe the table which was covered. So had to drink of the tray. Doesn’t feel as welcoming as offer costas

We had a while to wait for our train home and decided to stop here for a coffee, which was around 5:30 pm, the toilets were not well kept and used crockery was left on tables. The service was good and the coffee up to Costa's normal standard, the state of the place could be due to it being later in the day, however it did let this down, which was a shame
